What's next?

When you arrive, you will be greeted by a Patient Coordinator who will check you in, notify the team of your arrival, verify insurance if applicable, and guide you through any necessary new patient paperwork. You can save time by completing the new patient forms in your appointment confirmation email before you arrive. Or you can fill out the new patient form here.

Once completed, a member of our team will escort you from the waiting room to a treatment room where they will review your dental history, medical history, and any dental health concerns or issues. The dental assistant will then take digital x-rays for the doctor to review. Radiation from digital dental x-rays is very low, especially in comparison to traditional x-rays. For more information, speak with your dentist or dental assistant.
Frequently Asked Questions
We Got You Covered
Your Comprehensive Exam
As a new patient, you will first see the dentist for a comprehensive exam. During this exam the dentist will discuss your health history, any concerns you may have, and may take your blood pressure to ensure you are in good health. This is a great time to let us know if you are anxious about your appointment. Your comfort is a priority and we will work to make your appointment as smooth and comfortable as possible. During your exam, your dentist will review your dental x-rays and complete an oral cancer screening which includes an examination of your jaw, neck, tongue and inside of your mouth. This screening is important and recommended once per year.
This initial exam will take about an hour and is important so your dental team can identify any issues such as gum disease or cavities. Based on your exam, your dentist will develop a personalized treatment plan and discuss options with you.
At your first visit, you may not receive a cleaning. A cleaning may be completed after the doctor ensures it is the appropriate treatment for your specific oral health. There are certain conditions that determine if a cleaning is not the first best course of treatment. Once your oral health is stabilized, you can expect to have your exam and cleaning/hygiene appointments at the same time going forward.

CareCredit
At Boyle Family Dentistry, we understand that there are times when your dental insurance doesn’t offer coverage for the services you need or that you don’t want to pay for a treatment all at once, which is why we accept CareCredit. CareCredit offers financing to help you pay for your treatment in smaller amounts, over time.
CareCredit is used to pay for out-of-pocket expenses not covered by medical insurance. It covers wellness at over 225,000 enrolled providers across the nation.
CareCredit offers term financing options of 6, 12, 18, or 24 months no interest is charged on purchases of $200 or more when you make the minimum monthly payments and pay the full amount due by the end of the promotional period. If you do not pay the full amount, interest is charged from the original purchase date.
CareCredit also extends longer-term healthcare financing for 24, 36, 48, or 60-month periods with Reduced APR and Fixed Monthly Payments Required Until Paid in Full. Purchases of $1,000 or more may be eligible for a 24 months offer with a 14.90% APR, a 36 months offer with a 15.90% APR or a 48 months offer with a 16.90% APR.
